Description

Fenbendazole and Ivermectin are two medications used to treat parasitic illnesses, but they are not the same. Fenbendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic that targets gastrointestinal parasites such as giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. Ivermectin, on the other hand, is an FDA-approved antiparasitic medicine that treats a variety of neglected tropical diseases, such as onchocerciasis, helminthiases, and scabies. The FDA has not approved Ivermectin for the treatment of any viral illness. Both medications have been approved for use in organic livestock production.

In a clinical experiment, treating calves with an anthelmintic was much more beneficial than not treating them. For gastrointestinal nematode infections, there was no significant difference in therapy with fenbendazole or ivermectin
